6,000 CAT6 Data Outlets
OCL completed the installation of over 6,000 CAT6 data outlets for Fisher and Paykel Health Care’s new building in East Tamaki.
This job included the build of a main server room and 6 HUB rooms located throughout the building. OCL installed an extensive fibre optic and copper backbone network between the HUB Rooms complete with a “disaster recovery” routes.
The construction programme for this building was over 2 years. While only one levels (excluding basement carpark) the floor plate is in excess of 51,000 sqm. In addition to the size of the floor plate, the ceilings were high requiring all work (at height) to be done on mobile scaffold.
The result of OCL and other trades involvement in the construction of this building is a fantastic modern EGO friendly building that is cabled for the future.
